Hérna er kveðju og þakkar bréf frá Ed og Carol.
Dear SR Players, Parents and Hockey Fans,
The time has come to say goodbye and THANKYOU!
My wife Carol and I have enjoyed a fantastic experience during our three years in your very unique country and we will take with us many great memories.
After more than a dozen years living abroad in both Denmark and Iceland we will now join the lives of our families and old friends back in Canada.
I would like to express our appreciation to everyone who contributed so much to making sure Carol and I were comfortable and happy from the moment we arrived.
On the ice, I believe the players have shown a genuine love for the game of hockey. We had some exciting times over the past few years with many entertaining games and good times. I am really proud of each and every one of you and I am really glad to have been a part of your progress.
I hope you will continue to work together to further the sport of hockey in Iceland and remember the most important part of the game is teamwork and good sportsmanship both on and off the ice.
I hope the parents and fans of the game discover the joys of volunteering and that, in itself is the one thing that will ensure the strength and future of the club.
So "Takk fyrir" everyone, best of luck in the future and please keep in touch.
